“Have you ever wondered how Rice students always seem to know just what class to take? Or maybe you have noticed the exact opposite: Rice students who register for the maximum of 20 credit hours, and then carefully drop down to a more manageable number. What causes this phenomenon? There are several obvious causes (professor recommendations, graduation requirements, uncertainty regarding which major one wishes to pursue), but as a prospective student you may not be aware of Rice University’s Peer Academic Advising system which encourages students to seek academic guidance, advice, and direction throughout the year from fellow students.”
