  • PALs groups are also based on academic discipline, not on o-week group

Will Rice

  • Study Break for Pumpkin Grades and Pass/Fail deadline
  • PALs program has problems

General Themes amongst PAA groups

  • Having “Meet the PAAs and Academic Fellows/Mentors” meetings at the beginning of the year in order to introduce students to the different groups and to delineate the roles of both groups
  • Having “Summer Experiences and Opportunities” meetings during the semester
  • Having a Pumpkin Grades and Pass/Fail deadline Study Break
  • Coordinating PAAs to PALs groups by assigning an O-week Advisor who also serves as a PAA to his/her group and by possibly assigning students to PAAs based on their academic interests
  • Having lunch or dinner PAA tables
  • Making announcements at College Government meetings in creative ways as well as sending information out on listservs
  • Online visibility: Facebook Pages, Twitter Accounts, Email Accounts
  • Glossy, large posters
  • Support from Masters
