PAAs of the Month
- Congratulations, Rebecca McKinnell and Matt Diasio, on being named the October PAAs of the Month! To read more about Rebecca’s and Matt’s contributions to the PAA program, please see our facebook page.
- If you know of a PAA who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the PAA program, please send Stephanie an email at scloots@rice.edu with the individual’s name, year, and a few sentences of why he/she should be November PAA of the Month!
PAA Blog
- Check out the new PAA blog at: https://ricepaa.rice.edu/
- If you have anything you would like to submit to the blog (i.e. PDFs of PAA posters, flyers for events, etc.), email Stephanie or Lilla
- For interviews for internships and jobs, look at the PAA blog to find a short description of what the PAAs are all about so you can explain to non-Rice folks about our program
- Also look for all PAA meeting minutes on the blog!
Spring Recruitment for Year-long PAAs
- Start thinking about students at your college who would be good additions to your PAA team!
Additional Information
- T-SHIRTS ARE IN! And they look spiffy! Come by the Office of Academic Advising in the RMC to pick up your shirts!!
- In order to receive a shirt, please give $3 to either Aurora or Stephanie
- If you did not order a shirt but, after seeing them, have changed your mind, send Stephanie an email with your name and your t-shirt size (XS, S, M, L, XL)
Academic Planning Sessions
- Distribution of Academic Planning Session guides to Head PAAs
- Break out into colleges to discuss preparation timeline and task delegations
- Task Delegation sheets are due on October 28th at 5 PM to Stephanie at scloots@rice.edu
