We will be talking about the newest members of the PAA team, discussing new PAA committees, discussing the Office of Academic Advising awards, and organizing Academic Planning Sessions at each college.

• After receiving over 200 total PAA applications and over 130 applications for O-Week PAA, we have selected the new members of the PAA team for the 2012-2013 school year. Please incorporate the new PAAs into your college’s Academic Planning Session and other PAA sponsored events

PAA of the Month- Amy Ewbank

• Congratulations, Amy Ewbank, on being named PAA of the Month for February!

PAA Committees

• After polling all returning PAAs on interests for specific committees, we are ready to put our PAA committees into action.
• We will be emailing all the different committees in the near future in order to set up committee meetings

Office of Academic Advising Excellence in Advising Awards

• Each year we recognize one outstanding faculty advisor and one stellar PAA as recipients of the Office of Academic Advising Excellence in Advising Awards. Our intention is to recognize and reward individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and truly made a significant impact on the educational experience of undergraduates. Please send your nominations to scloots@rice.edu by April 1^st.
